CC -Cultural Competence (Simple Solutions Psychotherapy)

This course provides evidence-based & other practice information to licensed and pre-licensed mental health professionals (i.e. Marriage & Family Therapists, Professional Clinical Counselors, and Social Workers). 

Participants will explore their own cultural background and biases, and gain an understanding of the history, values, beliefs, and practices of diverse cultures. Participants will also develop their cross-cultural communication skills, learn about cultural sensitivity and humility, and gain practical experience in designing and implementing culturally responsive teaching strategies. This information in this course will help mental health providers identify cultural competence and apply the information to their own practice for work with individual clients, groups, couples, children, and adolescents.
